Hola! I’m Amy Macpherson, a writer and videographer with a background in museums digital content and travel journalism.

I’ve been sharing short-form videos about Spain travel, food, culture, heritage, and nature on Instagram and TikTok for a few years now. What started as a pandemic project when I was living in Madrid has spiralled into something of an obsession, and although it’s not my full-time job, I spend a lot of time travelling around Spain and deepening my knowledge and understanding of this beautiful country.

I started this blog because a lot of what I want to share doesn’t fit into the few seconds (or even minutes) of a social media video. Think of this as a travel magazine that’s dedicated to just one country, embracing both highbrow and lowbrow, everything from my favourite Spanish recipes to in-depth city guides.

I also plan to write more about Spain’s fascinating past, particularly the nuanced and often misunderstood history of al-Andalus.
